We have been accused of not getting out enough. To rectify this a trip to the Hoover Building was arranged.

An absolutely delicious listed building, set on the A40 at Perivale, West London.

The wrought iron front gates, lights and fencing are superb

The main building is imposing, either from the side, or from the front.

The front hall of the building (facing the road) is occupied by Gallaghers. They seem to be proud of their tenure and have gone to some lengths to ensure that various interior details, although not original, are rebuilt in the correct style.Check the interior lifts (above) as an example of this.

Wouldn't you like to use these stairs everyday

Opposite to the landing is the central window, looking out over the A40. This has been sympathetically double glazed.

Various doors throughout the building

These have all been rebuilt in the correct style

Behind some of these doors lie listed offices
