Big Ol'Boys like their bikes

The Bikes we like have their own individual style developed by their owners, but they must be bikes that are ridden not stored for show. We believe bikes are meant to be driven fast and hard. We are members of a number of different bike clubs and own a range of bikes from custom Harleys, classic Triumphs and Japanese performance bikes.

This first section is a selection with an American influence and is included to keep the Anorak happy.

If you want more fun and less attitude riding your Harley then we have many friends at Thames Valley H.O.G. , call in and find how a HOG chapter should be run.

Evolution of a Harley

Any Harley owner will tell you of the constant tinkering that goes on to change the look, improve performance and generally take up time during the cold winter evenings. This is the record of one Harley's evolution.

myhd1.JPG

Fresh out the box with some chromey bits added.

myhd2.JPG

The screen's gone, the bags are gone; fat boy bars, loud mufflers and new carb added.

myhd3.JPG

Lower pillion seat, oval floorboards added.

myhd4.JPG

Lowered 3 inches, Fishtail drag pipes, shortened rear indicators.

myhd5.JPG

The bike now has single seat, rebuilt engine and new polished front disc.

myhd6.JPG

Passing lights and indicators removed. Period effect air cleaner added.

Oh no he's done it again, the Harley's gone into self destruct again. More repair bills. 95 cui engine on the way.

None of this would have been possible without the considerable help of Dick, Ralph, Nig and Paul. Also thanks to the help of the various members of Thames Valley H.O.G who have endured my endless breakdowns (a thing of the past) and bits falling off.

But we do love the colour.

From time to time we will feature the odd bit of motorcycle madness. The first in the series is:
